In Hawaii, lei making is a wonderful event that usually precedes a family gathering or a special celebration. It’s a time for family and friends to come together and “talk story” and share in the spirit of aloha while they each make a lei. Each kit includes 200 lei flowers (orchids), 4 lei needles, lei twine, and lei making instructions. It takes 50 lei flowers to create one single strand lei, so if you want to make more than 4 leis, we advise you to purchase extra lei flowers. Select your desired orchid color or color combination. Strong & Durable Lei Please note that green orchids are much smaller than the other colors, therefore we do not advise all green, unless you don’t mind making shorter than average leis.
